“I was angry,” Warwick admitted. “My brother had died of throat cancer, and I couldn’t help but think of him.”
Life-Changing Surgery: A Total Laryngectomy
In December 2022, Warwick underwent a total laryngectomy—a surgical procedure removing his voice box and lymph nodes. This life-altering operation left him unable to speak traditionally. Instead, he now communicates by pressing a stoma in his neck, which allows him to produce sounds.
